Hell, I read literally anything I can get my hands on. Product manuals or marketing brochures if there's nothing else around. Well...except trashy bodice-ripping chick books. My favorites are dense classic novels, good pop-modern (Bukowski, Pahlaniuk) and textbooks.
I do it fast, too...once I was stuck in the Albequerque airport for twelve hours, I put away Angels&Demons, Red Dragon, and Hannibal. In probably eight or nine hours, since I did a fair bit of wandering too. Read all of Fight Club just waiting to board a flight, started when I sat down at the gate and finished ten minutes to spare. Made it though Haunted by the time I got to Pittsburgh. It's a gift. I have a copy of Crime and Punishment for my next trip, I'll let you know how it goes.
